Our Mission

Helping people find family, follow Jesus, and share His love

Our History

Revive Church of the Nazarene was planted by Hope Point Nazarene in Yuba City on May 28, 2023. Revive Church is a campus of Hope Point Nazarene and operates locally under the name Revive Church. Hope Point has been serving the Yuba-Sutter region for nearly 100 years and has previously helped launch other campuses, including Hope Point Live Oak.

Revive Church is part of the Church of the Nazarene, the largest Wesleyan-holiness denomination in the world. Our core beliefs and values can be summarized as being Christian, being holy, and being missional

In 2022, Pastor Doug Smith of Hope Point, along with Pastor Colby, began praying and dreaming about launching a church in Plumas Lake with the hope of bringing the love of Christ to this growing community. Together, they recognized that Plumas Lake was expanding rapidly yet lacked a local church presence. Many residents were traveling significant distances to be part of a church family, and they sensed God’s clear leading to help meet this need. Through prayer, discernment, and God opening doors, the vision for Revive Church was born.

After God called Pastor Colby and his family to move out of state in early 2025, the Lord had already been preparing Pastor Byron Fisk to step into leadership at Revive. Pastor Byron has served in ministry for over 15 years and has a deep love for God, his family, and the local community. He joined Revive in July 2025 and is excited about the new season of growth and mission ahead.
